PASADENA MUSEUM OF CALIFORNIA ART

Marge's Tours is pleased to present a special excursion with renowned watercolor and oil painting artist Timothy J. Clark.  Mr. Clark is well known in Orange County for the many years he taught at Coastline Community College.  He developed the “Focus on Watercolor” television course shown on KOCE-TV and served as the on-screen instructor. 

 

Art lovers, collectors and former students will enjoy Mr. Clark’s personal guided tour through his exhibit “Timothy J. Clark Mid-Career Retrospective” located at the Pasadena Museum of California Art, Pasadena California. He will join us on the bus as we travel to and from Pasadena as well as at lunch.

 

EXCURSION FEE:  $75 per person includes deluxe round trip bus transportation, lunch at McCormick and Schmick’s in Pasadena, entrance to Pasadena Museum of California Art, tips.  (In conjunction with Mr. Clark’s retrospective, a book, Timothy J. Clark, will be published in January 2008 which will serve as the exhibition catalog. This book will provide a thorough review of four decades of the artist’s work including drawings, oils and watercolor paintings.  The book will be available for purchase at the museum.)

 

PLEASE NOTE:  Our group will be limited to one bus.  Send your payment and registration form early to confirm your space on the bus.  Spaces can not be held without payment.  Reservations will be closed once the bus is filled. 

 

ABOUT TIMOTHY J. CLARK:  Mr. Clark’s watercolor and oil paintings are represented in permanent museum collections including The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio, Maine’s Farnsworth Art Museum, and the Smithsonian/National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC. The artist’s sketchbook of drawings of Ground Zero, created at the still-smoldering site within days of the attack, were acquired for the collection of the Museum of the City of New York

 

A faculty member at the Art Students League in New York, Mr. Clark has also taught at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, the Worcester Museum of Art in Massachusetts, the National Academy School in New York, and Yale University’s Graduate School of Architecture’s Continuity and Change Program in Rome. He was named one of the “20 Great Teachers in America” by Watercolor magazine in Fall 2006.

Clark, a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts and the Chouinard Art Institute, serves on the Cal Arts Alumni Board in

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this evening with the most successful and sought after Irish-American group in Celtic music history.  These five very talented women bring a spectacular blend of instrumental talents, magnificent vocals, and captivating arrangements.  Their bubbling good humor, infectious enthusiasm and exuberant step dancing create an enchanting evening.

 

EXCURSION FEE:  $65, includes round trip transportation from South Orange County, reserved tickets, tips.

 

 

HOW TO JOIN A TOUR:  Complete the Winter 2008 registration form to reserve your space.  Be sure to note where you will meet the bus.  Directions to the pick-up point will be mailed with your receipt.  Space filled on “first paid, first reserved” basis. 

 

Mail your check (made payable to Marge’s Tours) to: 26686 Saddleback Dr., Mission Viejo CA 92691 along with your registration form.  Cancellations accepted up to 14 days prior to the tour date. No refunds after 14 days.  If you resell your tickets, please give Marge a call with the new names of those traveling on the tour.
